Year 6’s topic this term is linked to crime and punishment. They began their topic with a hook and then an enquiry linked to a video stimulus called Heavenly Appeals. From this, children began to consider the concepts within the stimulus such as: right and wrong, greed, grace, love, hope, evil, law and many others. They looked at a set of questions and from this either devised their own or debated one of them. Their discussions linked to the severity of crime and what is ‘right’ in the world we live in today.

6CShould crimes always be punished?

6JSShould we always do what is right?
